Glenn Cooper, Jr., 73, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He was predeceased in death by beloved son, Glenn Cooper III (Bubba), father, Glenn Cooper, Sr., mother, Sue Cooper and brother, Ray Cooper. Left with loving memories is his widow Sylvia Kendrick Cooper, daughter Paige Cooper Whitaker (Jeff), grandchildren, who were a great source of joy in his life: Hunter Whitaker, Tara Whitaker and McKenzie Cooper. Also mourning his passing are: June Cooper Lloyd (sister), Marty Cooper and sister-in-law Joyce Cooper. Family was very important to Glenn and he took great delight in his many nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Glenn's family was very dear to him and he and Sylvia were married 54 years. He graduated from the University of Florida and was a lifelong Gator fan. He owned and operated Glennco Construction Company. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either: First Baptist Church of Panama City 640 Grace Ave. Panama City, FL 32401 or to Covenant Hospice 107 W. 19th St. Panama City, FL 32405. One of Glenn's favorite Bible verses was: He hath showed thee O Man; what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God. Micah 6:8. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Fri. Aug. 28, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services will be Sat. Aug. 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Bill Lloyd Jr., Robert Lloyd, Jay Moody, John Moody, Lynn Harbeson, Jackie Shores, Scott Hudson, Ronnie Hamlin, and Jimmy Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jim Moody, Ron Sarvis, Howard Turner, Ricky Snellgrove, Tommy Berry, Frank Kendrick, all members of Glenn's Adult Sunday School Class and all employees of Glennco Construction Company.
