Gladys Hilton Suggs, 91, of Panama City, died suddenly at her home on Sunday, November 8, 2015.
Gladys was born February 5, 1924 to George D. and Omie Blackburn Hilton. In 1942, she married J.V. Suggs. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Panama City, where she served as the Financial Secretary for a number of years.
She enjoyed fishing with her husband, traveling with her family, going to dinner with her high school classmates and close friends. Her special joy was being a greeter for the LLL Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Suggs was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister, Peggy Hilton Hawthorne.
She is survived by one brother, George D. "Pete" Hilton, Jr. and wife Eddie; brother-in-law, Jack Eddins; special neighbor and best friend, Mrs. Lavelle Kimbrel; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., one hour prior to service.
