Geraldine Hollis Merritt
Geraldine Merritt, 90, of Panama City, passed away on June 12, 2012. She was born August 18, 1921 in Pensacola to A.C. & Alice Elizabeth Hollis Jr. She had been a resident of Panama City most of her life. She was a retired bookkeeper for Cogburn's Jewelry Store where she had worked for 37 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warren Merritt and a sister, Elaine Hollis McNabb. She is survived by 2 brothers, Joseph Earl Hollis and Arthur Claude Hollis Jr., special niece, Hollis Newsom and numerous other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Covenant Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
