Gerald Franklin McKenzie, 82, of Southport, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1938 in Dillon, South Carolina to Rev. Curtis and Bessie McKenzie. He served in the United States Navy retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer and also retired from Sears Contract Sales. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey McKenzie; one daughter, Amanda McKenzie Ruddick (Stan); three grandsons, Ruston Ruddick (Bekah), Reed Ruddick, Ryne Ruddick; two great grandsons, Ridge Ruddick, Rylan Ruddick and a sister, Sue Keller. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11 am in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Dr. Morris Denman officiating.
