GEORGE RONALD PINKARD

George Ronald Pinkard was born March 23, 1954 in Madison, Florida to James Willie and Ruby Odell Pinkard. He died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in Panama City, Florida after a short illness. He was a dedicated employee with Winn Dixie Corporation for 35 years. He is survived by his wife Wanda Tucker Pinkard, 5 children: Jennifer Carter (Allen) Naylor, GA, Christina Foppe, Valdosta, GA, Hugh Lane (Jennifer) Panama City, FL, Stephen Lane (Stacy) Valdosta, GA, Lesley Carter (Ryan) Fort Walton Beach, FL, three grandchildren: Austen and Cameron Carter, Naylor, GA, Savana Foppe, Valdosta, GA, Two brothers: Herjo (Florence), Live Oak, FL, Daniel (Sandra), Panama City, FL, six sisters: Annie Lou (Tom) Holton, Madison, FL, Mary (Otis) Farr, Lake City, FL, Reather Luce, Cedar Bluff, AL, Margaret (Danny) NeSmith, Cedar Bluff, AL, Muriel (Don) Corbin, Madison, FL, Pat (Gary) Williams, Valdosta, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and co workers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. The family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19 from 6 - 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. EDT on Friday, March 20 at the Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Midway Baptist Church Building Fund, 338 S.E. Midway Church Road, Lee, FL 32059 in memory of George Pinkard.
