Obituary

On Sunday February 17, 2019, Gary Wayne Tennyson, a loving husband and father passed away at the age of 74. Gary was born October 10, 1944 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Vernon Wayne and Julia Mae Tennyson. Gary moved to Panama City as a teenager, graduated from Bay High School, then earned a law degree from the University of Florida Law School in 1970. Gary was a well-respected attorney and entrepreneur in Bay County for 49 years. Some of Gary's great loves of his life were his wife, Victoria, his six children, his many dogs, cats, chickens and riding his Kubota tractors, working on projects on his property. He loved his dove hunting trips to South America for many years traveling with his best friends and fishing every chance possible. Gary loved watching his Gators with a passion and enjoyed his Cruzan dark rum with a coke. Gary was so loved by his family and many close friends. Gary will be very missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Victoria Lynn Tennyson; six children, Gena Grace Tennyson (Bill), Gary's only daughter "Bean" that he loved with all of his heart, Cord Tennyson (Debbie), Wesley Tennyson, Dino Clemens "his Kabota brother" (Rebecca), Brian Clemens (Marie), James E. Clemens (Gina); three brothers, Rodney Tennyson (Elizabeth), Ryan Tennyson (Lane), Scott Tennyson; one sister, Julie Tennyson (Dewey); many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on March 10, 2019 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Following the celebration there will be a gathering at Somethings Cooking.
