Gary Wayne Cobia, 64, of Bonifay, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Panama City.  He was born September 5, 1952 in Donalsonville, Georgia.  He was a retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant having served during the Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Carey Cobia and a brother, Jerry Holmes.  He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Cobia; 3 children, Lora Coatney (William); Gary Cobia II, John Cobia; mother, Nell Holmes; sister, Mylinda Raley; brother, David Holmes (Sue); 3 grandchildren, Haley Bush, William Coatney III and April Coatney.  Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 5 at 2 p.m. in the Bethany Baptist Church in Bonifay.
