Obituary

Gail Coleman, 81, of Panama City, FL passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1943 in Dothan, Alabama to John R. Coleman, Sr and Willa Grayson (Collins) Coleman.  Gail was a kind woman with a huge heart.  She expressly loved her family and friends, who supported her throughout all life's ups and downs.  She also loved her pet cats across the years as her children.  Her general passion for animals was demonstrated by diligently feeding the local squirrels and strays.  She was an avid bowler, knocking down pins with her straight left roll and building close friendships with her bowling companions for decades.  Gail also enjoyed her books, puzzles, food, figurines, TV shows, and driving her car.  She was preceded in death by her parents at an early age, her nephew Michael Coleman, and her brother John R. Coleman, Jr. later in life.  She is survived by her sister-in-law, Tal Coleman; nephew, Mark Coleman, his wife Susan Coleman and their four children; loving cousins who cared for her during her illness; and close friend, like a sister from another mother, Carol.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 28 August 2025 at 1 PM in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 PM. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Special thanks for the nurses and aids at Emerald Shores Health and Rehab who took care of her the last number of years. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to the Salty Cats or to the charity of your choice.
