FURNEY JOE GRIFFIN
Furney Joe Griffin, 78, of Panama City, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 in his home. He was born August 24, 1928 in Dover, North Carolina and had been a resident of Panama City since 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired service manager for Buzz Leonard Motors. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Martha Griffin, 7 children, James Griffin and wife, Deborah; Larry Griffin; David Griffin and wife, Theresa; Mary Kay Wooton; James Foster; Darrell Foster and wife, Lisa; Alan Foster, 2 sisters, Orethia Lane, Myrtle Register, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
