FREDERICK V. McCRINDLE
Frederick V. McCrindle, 73, retired Vice President of Merrill Lynch, died with his loving family by his side on October 26, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 27, 1933, to the late John Alexander and Grace McCrindle. Educated in Windsor Schools, the Royal Canadian Air Force School of Academics, and the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School of Management. On May 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to Sharon E. Scott. Mr. McCrindle joined Goodbody & Co/Merrill Lynch in April of 1956. He moved on to become Director of Institutional Equities for the Central U.S. in 1970, Manager of a Toronto branch, Regional Managing Director of Western Canada and Sr. VP, Resident Director in London, Ontario. In 1991, Fred and Sharon moved to Panama City where Fred was initially a Branch Manager and then moved on to become Vice President until he retired in 1998. He was a board member of the Michigan Municipal Advisory Council, board member of the Economics Club of Detroit, on the Board of Governors of the Alberta Stock Exchange, chairman of the Floor Procedures Committee, member of the Board of Arbitrators, NASD, Past Chair of Panama City Beach Planning Board and member of the Downtown Rotary Club and Hombre Golf Club. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon McCrindle, children, James McCrindle of Innisfil, Ontario and his 2 children, Jackson and Carter, Judy McDonald of Innisfil, Ontario and her husband Bill and her 3 children, Tyler, Courtney and Meagan, John McCrindle and his wife Holly and his child, Grace, Jennifer Boyce of Southlake, Texas and her husband Gordon and her 3 children, Lauren, Anderson and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 30 at 3:30 p.m. at the family's home, 129 Grand Heron Drive, Panama City Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Hospice of the Emerald Coast, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405.
