IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Francis "Frank"
Owen Sullivan
December 25, 1926 – July 16, 2021
Francis Owen Sullivan (Frank) passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. He lived an especially full life of 94 years.
Frank was born on December 25,1926 in Laurel, MS, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Harry Sullivan. His family moved to Panama City in 1930 where he attended Panama Grammar School and Bay High School. Frank never met a stranger and friends remember his convivial smile, warm embrace and kind words with every greeting.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jacquelin McWhorter Sullivan; his children Mike Sullivan (Erin), Susan Sullivan Tarver (Charley) and Tim Sullivan; his grandchildren Michael Sullivan (Kirsty) and Christian Sullivan; and great grandchildren Jaxon, Mackayah, Catherine and Beckett Sullivan.
Frank joined St. Dominic's Catholic Church in 1934 at the age of 8 and maintained an active membership for 87 years. He took pride in being the oldest living continuous member of the church. A requiem mass will be held in his honor on Friday, July 23rd at St. Dominic's at 11am. The family will receive friends in the entry hall at 10am prior to the mass. All who wish to attend the mass are welcome.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for his caregivers: Pinnie Hunter, who was a family friend for over 50 years; Patricia & Jonathan Cordorba, Shelia Messier and Stephanie Gary. They added much comfort and love to his last years.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to St. Dominic's Catholic Church or Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, both of Panama City.
