IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances Anderson
Terry
January 11, 1931 – December 29, 2020
Frances Anderson Terry, born January 11, 1931, in Geneva County, Alabama, was a retired office manager for the Bay County Credit Bureau. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Oliver Earl Terry; and her parents, Frank and Gertrude Anderson. She is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuck" Terry (Marian); Gregory "Greg" Terry; four grandchildren, Alicia Gainer, Jacob Terry, Caleb Terry, Abigail Terry; great grandson, Pierson Gainer; three half brothers, Ronnie Pitts (Charlene), Hulon Pitts (Janice), Emory Pitts (Katie); a stepsister, Dorothy Sellars, sister-in-law Audrey Thomason, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances spent the first few years of her life in Geneva County, Alabama before moving to Bonifay and subsequently Bay County, Florida in the 1930's. She graduated from Bay High School in 1949, meeting her lifelong sweetheart not long after graduation. She went on to work for the Bay County Credit Bureau for over 30 years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved her family more than life itself, and delighted in cooking for anyone who visited her. If you were privileged enough to eat her food or be gifted one of her cakes, you were fortunate indeed. Her faith in the Lord was her stronghold in times of trouble and times of peace, and she faithfully attended New Foundation Church until she was no longer able. She adored being out in God's creation and could regularly be found working in her garden, fishing in the creek, or visiting the Great Smoky Mountains with her beloved Oliver.
