Frances Thomas
Frances Irene Thomas was born on January 28, 1917, in Port Richey, Florida to Edgar and Florence Sapp. She went to her heavenly home on May 19, 2011. She was 94 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, H. Clifton Thomas; adopted daughter, Billie Joe "Punkin" and sisters, Vivian Sapp, Gladys Boyd, Evelyn Shove and Viola Davidson.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Newton; grandchildren, Alesha Scheuerman (Hunt), Lesil Taylor (Lynn) and Lee Newton II (Jenifer); great grandchildren, James C. Newton, Brittany Newton, Jessica Taylor and Ty Melancon; sister, Grace Williams; brother, Edgar T. Sapp and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks go to Covenant Hospice for their care and to St. Andrew Bay Skilled and Nursing center for their wonderful and tender care and a special thanks to April for her compassion.
A private family memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
