Frances Ruth Rosser Hastings, 85, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was born on April 2, 1929 in Bessemer, Alabama. She and her husband were the retired owners and operators of the Treasure Island and Sun Glo Motels on Panama City Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hastings; her parents, James and Mabel Rosser; two brothers, Douglas Rosser, James Robert Rosser. She is survived by her two children, Steve Hastings (Debra) of Palmetto, Florida, Leanne Hastings Schaffer (Charles), of Panama City; six grandchildren, Holly Keen (Jimmy), Amber Pliscofsky, Courtney Metzger (Chris), James Burks (Grace), Katrina Roe (Michael), Kenneth Hastings; two step grandchildren, Nicole Schaffer, Rhett Schaffer (Monica); great grandchildren, James Keen, John Keen, Natalie Metzger, Morgan Pliscofsky, Andrew Pliscofsky, Andrea Burks, Cassandra Burks, Ethan Burks, Anna Burks, CJ Burks, Lilly Roe, Kaibry Roe, Kayla Schaffer, Matthew Schaffer, Yasmine Schaffer, Brooklyn Schaffer; and one sister, Mary Rosser Burris, of Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
