Frances S. Dawes, 75 of Panama City, Florida passed away Thursday,
July 31, 2014 at home after a long illness.
She was born September 14, 1938 in Burna, Kentucky to the late
Benjamin & Bertie (Crowley) Scott. She moved to Florida with her
parents in 1952 where she later met and married the late Clint L.
Dawes, Sr. She was retired from Polk County School Board, where
she drove a school bus for 15 years.
She is survived by her children, daughters, Kay Grafing and husband,
Brad of Mims, FL; Lewellyn Denmark and husband, Robert of
Panama City, FL; Veda Pierstorff of Labelle, FL; sons, Clint L.
Dawes, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Panhandle, TX; Willie Dawes and
wife, Deleen of Bereah, FL; sisters, Elsie Mixon and husband, Horace
of Port Orange, FL; Earlene Pelham of Titusville, FL; brother, Frank
Scott of Mims, FL.; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at 2:00PM Sunday, August 3, 2014 until
service time at 3:00PM at the Emanuel Baptist Church in Frostproof
with Robert Denmark officiating. Interment will be held at Corinth
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bereah, FL.
