Flora W. Southall, 85, of Lynn Haven, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at a local hospital. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1957, originally from Hueytown, Alabama. She was a retired Insurance Agent with Merriam Insurance Agency and was named Florida Insurance Woman of the Year. She was a member of the Panama City Women's Club, a Volunteer at Gulf Coast Medical Center, a member of the Saint Andrew Bay Quilters' Guild and the Elite Monday Group. She was a member of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris G. Southall and her parents Lula and James Waldrop. She is survived by her three children James Morris Southall and his wife Dianne of Lynn Haven, Deborah S. Aymond and her husband David of Jeanerette, La., David A. Southall of Lynn Haven, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday, December 21, 2009 at Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 22nd at 10 am at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter Zalewski officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association at www.americanheart.org.
