Flora M. Hewett

Flora M. Hewett, 102, of Panama City, Florida died on February 18, 2014. Flora was born in New Mexico to Inez and Helen Lucero. Her brothers Frank, Tony, Chano and sister Mela Baca all predeceased her.
Flora married Tyson Hewett of Blountstown, Florida and moved to Panama City in 1957. Tyson Hewett predeceased her in 2008. Survivors are her children Peggy Lewis, Panama City, Florida and Michael Mainz of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Flora in her long and adventurous life was mostly devoted to her family, faith, and friends. She enjoyed gardening and fishing in local lakes and rivers.
Memorial services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 21 at 3 pm with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors at the funeral home from 2pm to 3pm prior to the service.
A private interment will be held at the historical family burial plot in Clarksville, Florida at a later date.
