Everett was a man of many passions, but none more dear to him than his profound love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours on the water, casting his line and reeling in record catches. His joy was infectious, and he was always eager to share his love of fishing with his children and grandsons, teaching us the art of patience and perseverance. Whether it was a quiet morning on the lake or a thrilling deep-sea charter adventure, our Daddy was happiest when surrounded by nature.
In addition to fishing, our Daddy was an avid hunter. He had the keen eye and instincts necessary for tracking game, but what truly set him apart was his deep respect for all the animals he pursued. His respect for the animals he hunted was a testament to his deep connection to the natural world. He enjoyed the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of providing for his family through his skill and knowledge of the great outdoors.
Our Daddy was also a passionate birdwatcher, marveling at the beauty and diversity of the avian world. He could often be found with his binoculars, identifying different species and listening to their songs with a sense of wonder and deep appreciation. He prided himself on providing an environment conducive to the habitation of some of the most beautiful birds.
But above all, our Daddy was a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and a beloved great-grandfather. His love and care were unwavering, and he was a constant source of support, love, and guidance. He was always there to lend a listening ear, offer words of wisdom, and provide a comforting hug, a handkerchief, or a stick of Doublemint gum. He epitomized a great father, putting our happiness and well-being first. He was a true gentleman, valuing the importance of being well-groomed and well-dressed. He treated everyone he met with respect and kindness, and his warm smile and brilliant blue eyes the color of a Robin's eggs brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Our Daddy leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep connection to the natural world. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, surrounded by our loved ones who have gone before him and the beauty and glory of the great outdoors that he loved so dearly.
Rest in peace, dear Daddy. Your memory will forever be a blessing, and your love will continue guiding us through the darkest days. You were indeed the golden standard, and we will always hold you close in our hearts. 2'sssss
