EVELYN RUTH PIERCE
Evelyn Ruth Pierce, known as Ruth to all of her family and friends, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away suddenly on February 3, 2011. Born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada, February 23, 1924, she moved with her family to Three Rivers, Michigan when she was ten months old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 2007. Their family includes four children, daughters Leona Falk, Dowagiac, Michigan, Eva Hoekstra, Decatur, Michigan, Angela Morton, Veedersberg, Indiana, and son, Frank Pierce in Panama City, Florida. Son, Roy Junior, died in infancy. Roy and Ruth have fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Ruth, daughter of Edmund Harold and Nellie May (Ash) Smallcombe, leaves behind two sisters residing in Three Rivers, Michigan, Mary Raifsnider, and Elva Palmer. Siblings preceding her in death were brothers: Donald Smallcombe and Lawrence Smallcombe.
Since the passing of Roy, Ruth has been living in Panama City, Florida with their son, Frank and his wife, Kathy.
There will not be any services held in Panama City at this time.
