Eva Mae Simmons, 87 of Panama City passed March 3 ^rd 2022.  She was born August 26, 1934 in Abbeville, AL to Carl Edward Pelham and Ida Mae Whitehead Pelham.  Eva and her husband, Al were residents of Panama City for more the 47 years.  She worked for Bay County Schools for 26 years before retiring.  Eva's first love was her enduring faith in God, followed by her love for Al and her children.  She was always quick to have funny remark to make anyone laugh.

She was a member of City Church at Northside. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Simmons, parents and daughter Leah Simmons.  She is survived by three children Alan, Scott, Darrell Simmons and five grandchildren: Maddox, Hailey, Rachael, Kamryn and Zoe Simmons.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luther Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Thursday prior to the service.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Black Creek Cemetery, Freeport, FL.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257, ATTN: Foundation or City Church at Northside, 530 Airport Road, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Eva Mae Simmons.
