Eva Lee Hemphill, 71, of Chipley, FL passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. She was born on December 30, 1953 in Salem, Ohio

Eva graduated from Southern Local High School in 1972 and went on to raise her family, earning two associate's degrees: one in business and one in accounting. Eva worked for many years as a Certified Payroll Professional, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her hobbies were cake decorating and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hemphill, and her children, Michelle L. Porter of Taylors, SC, Christopher Madden (Amanda) of Greer, SC, and Tammy A. Cryer (James) of Cape Coral, FL, and her grandchildren Tony J. Madden, Amanda L. (Michael) Hill, Imani C. Porter, Christopher S. Madden, Jr., Kayleigh N. Cryer, Jaden A. Porter, Ashton N. (Colton) Winningham, Brianna Cryer, and great grandchildren Carson S. Graham, Isabella C. Madden-Sosa, Elijah A. Hill, Aaliyah G. Porter.

Her surviving siblings are Bobby Blair of Florida, Richard Blair, Gurlene (David) Ketchum, and Wanda Blair Burris, all of whom reside in Ohio. She has many nieces and nephews. Her brothers, William A. Blair, Charles E. Blair, and sister Vivian Rouse, preceded her in death.
Eva will be thoroughly missed, as she had the sweetest soul and always believed the best in people, loving all her family unconditionally. She was a true angel on earth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. In honor of Eva, the family requests that everyone in attendance wear her favorite color, purple.
