ESTHER G. KING
Esther Gudrun Freeman King, 88, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 in a local hospital. She was born September 26, 1921 in Upham, North Dakota. She was a retired medical secretary and was Lutheran by faith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Skogen, Lillian Lee and Alice Phillips. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Duane Skogen and three nieces who cared for and loved her, Jerrilyn Griffitts, Diane McKeithen, Jackie Ramie; two nephews, Dr. Jim Phillips, Ken Skogen, 8 great nieces and nephews and 9 great great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind numerous friends at Belvedere Commons, where she had enjoyed the last years of her life. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring my make contributions to the Sheriff's Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064 in memory of Esther King. Active pallbearers are Sheriff Frank McKeithen, Captain Ricky Ramie, Philip Griffitts Sr., Philip Griffitts Jr., Matt Griffitts and Frankie McKeithen.
