Ernest Fredrick “Fred” Fauson Jr, 71, of Lynn Haven, Florida, peacefully passed away October 18, 2026. He was born to Ernest Fredrick Fauson Sr. and Vera Marie Fauson on September 12, 1955.

Fred and Bobbie were married in September 1979 and had three children. Fred joined the US Air Force in March 1974 and retired in March 1998, the entirety of which was spent stationed at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, SD, with the exception of his remote deployments to Egypt, Alaska, and to Florida for hurricane relief. Upon retirement, they packed up and moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He enrolled in the Engineering program at the University of West Florida, graduating with a Batchelor’s Degree in 2003. Next up for Fred, was Civil Service at Tyndall AFB, accepting the position of the Jr Architect for the base in Panama City, FL from May 2004 until December 2019. After a lung cancer diagnosis in March of 2019, Fred completed his chemo and radiation and had been in remission. His final retirement was then spent with Bobbie at their home in Lynn Haven spending time fishing, hunting, golfing, travelling, cruising, spending time with family, goofy golfing, and enjoying the Florida weather!

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbie Gail Fauson, his three children; daughter: Leslie Rodgers, her husband William Rodgers, and their daughter, his granddaughter, Peyton Ross: two sons, Ernest Fredrick “Rick” Fauson III and fiancé Jessica, Trevor Fauson and wife Brooke: two sisters: Joan Marie White and Susan Gayle Bass, several grandpups, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Vera Fauson, and sister, Elizabeth Parker.

The family is planning on having a celebration of life at a later time for family and friends to join in sharing memories and stories.
