Ernest Brock, 89, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was born on February 18, 1925 in Jacksonville, Florida. His family had one of the largest cattle ranches in the state. Ernest served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired owner and operator for Brock Pest Control. After retirement, he drove for the Baytown Trolley for 12 years. He was a member of St. Andrew Primitive Baptist Church since 1988 and the United Commercial Travelers for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marguerite Juneaua Hamrick. He is survived by his wife, Annie Lee Brock; three children, Doug Brock (Judy), Peggy Damron (Jimmy), Mia Hughes (Tony); eight grandchildren, Keith Brock (Anita), Greg Brock (Damarys), Tim Brock (Natalie), Dale Lynn Calhoun (Casey), Alicia Hamrick Jones (David) Tyler Saunders, Drew Saunders, Jordan Saunders; sister, Mary Price; sister-in-law, Ann Wyant; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder J.C. Stanaland and Pastor Chris Nelson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
