ERMA JEAN JENNINGS

Erma Jean Jennings, 79, of Panama City, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at a local nursing home. Jean was born May 11, 1929, in Grand Ridge, FL. She was the daughter of Mike and Eloise (Dykes) Hoffman. Jean is survived by three children, Steve (Linda) Jennings of Lynn Haven, Keith (Charlotte) Jennings of Boone, NC, and Debbie (Larry) Brooks of Fort Walton Beach, two brothers Jimmy (Fran) Hoffman, Robert (Johnnie) Hoffman, and one sister Myrl (Leonard) Moore, eight grandchildren, Michael Jennings, Adam Jennings, Ashley (Perry) Paul, Angie (Don) Cutright, Mandy (DJ) Jost, Chris Jennings, Kerry Brooks, Lori (Steve) Goodrich, and four great-grandchildren, John Cutright, Madyson and Baylee Jost, and Rachael Goodrich. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Fatrus Jennings, and her son, Ron Jennings. Jean lived most of her life in Bay County, and was a graduate of Bay High School. Besides being a loving wife, mom and "Maw Maw", she operated the Cobweb Corner with her much loved sister Myrl for many years and was an active member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 10. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Gideon's International, P.O. Box 685, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Erma Jean Jennings.
