Erling Russell Wilkinson, 68, of Panama City, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1955 in San Jose, California to Russell and Navilla Wilkinson.  Erl served in the United States Air Force from 1974-1993 before making Panama City his permanent home. After retirement from the Air Force, he then went on to work for the Callaway Fire Department and as the Liaison for Bay County Emergency Management. From 2006 to 2014 he worked for OEM Tube Assemblies. Erl is survived by his wife, Sharon Walton Wilkinson; three children, Erling Russell Wilkinson, Jr. (Julia) of Lilburn, GA, Lisa Maelynn Corrigan (Ross) of Clearwater, MN, Nicholas Walton Wilkinson (Vanessa) of Panama City, FL; three grandchildren, Pavlos Drake Wilkinson of Denmark, Iver Anthony Corrigan and Adelyn Rae Corrigan of Clearwater, MN; and his sister, Gerri Hebert of Ava, MO. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Hampton Wilkinson of Arley, AL. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 3 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Callaway Fire Department, 252 North Star Ave, Callaway, FL 32404 in memory of Erling Wilkinson.
