Erik Pilcher Reppen, 75, passed away Saturday September 24, 2016, in Panama City with family by his side. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy having served as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He also flew helicopters as a civilian in the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp 1319. Erik is survived by his wife, Kay Yates Reppen; brothers, Norvald "Jary" Reppen (Nancy), Ferdner S. Reppen (Charlotte); sister, Caren R. Heft; Nephews, Torger Reppen (Gudrun), Judson Reppen (Deena), John Reppen, Asa Reppen; Nieces, Jessica Albritton, Samantha Heft, Erika De Almeida (Henrique), Jennifer Hutchins (Steve), Hildra Reppen, Carma Reppen and number of grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Norvald J. and Jacqueline Pilcher Reppen. Donations may be made to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church, Panama City. A memorial service will be held at the family home on Saturday October 1 at 10:30 a.m.
