EMMETT LEE HARRISON

Emmett Lee Harrison, 89, of Lynn Haven, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was born February 6, 1923 in Panama City and was a 1941 graduate of Bay High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company in 1960 after 20 years of service. He then retired from Beatrice Foods in 1990. He had been a member of Emerald Coast Fellowship since 1984 where he had served as Chairman of the Deacons and was currently an Elder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Golden Harrison. He is survived by his two children, Susan Downs (Frank), Jimmy Harrison; three grandchildren, Jennifer Merriam (David), Joshua Downs, Jared Downs; and one great grandchild, Jacob Merriam. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405 or to the Emerald Coast Fellowship Building Fund, 4102 W Hwy 390, Lynn Haven, FL 32444 in memory of Emmett Harrison.
