EMMA EVELYN WALTERS
Emma Evelyn Walters, 81, of Panama City, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007 at a local nursing facility. She was born on December 23, 1925 in Escambia County, Florida. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howell Walters, three brothers, Grover Price, Marvin Price, James Price, grandson, Kingsley Howell Walters and great grandson, Garrett Shawn Leonard. She is survived by her six children, Faye Givens and her husband, Frank, of Panama City, Lillian Leonard and her husband, Butch, of Lynn Haven, James H. Walters, Jr., of Alabaster, AL, Eddie Walters and his wife, Judy, of Montevallo, AL, Robert Walters, of Marianna, Billy Walters and his wife, Jenny, of Alabaster, AL, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, sister, Sara Layton of Luverne, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Maynard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and Community Health and Rehabilitation for their excellent care.
