EMILIO RIVERA
Emilio Rivera, 80 and a resident of Panama City since October 29, 1999, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at a local hospital. He would have been 81 on Monday, May 7. He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Rivera, whom he married July 4, 1954, nine sons, Hector "Rico" Rivera, of Panama City, Luis A. Medina, Edward Rivera, David Rivera, Daniel Rivera, Richard Rivera, all of Chicago, IL, Emilio Rivera, Jr., William Rivera, and Jose Antonio, all of Puerto Rico, four daughters, Nancy Putnik, of Panama City, Doris Lucy Ortiz, Milta Medina, both of Chicago, IL, Carmen Lydia, of Puerto Rico, 35 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three brothers, Mike Rosario, of Ft. Walton, Jose Luis, of New Jersey, Salvador, of Puerto Rico, two sisters, Maria Luisa, of Puerto Rico, Olga, of New York, and a special son-in-law, Luther Woodham. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 – 7 p.m.
