Elsie Jane Byrd Stewart, 88, of Panama City, FL passed away on January 3, 2018. She was born on July 22, 1929 in Theodore, AL to Emmitt and Ella Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings as well as her beloved husband, W.T., and son Andy. She is survived by her daughter Julie (Rick); son, Jeb (Sally); son, Tommy; grandchildren, Casey, Corey, Katie (Pat), Emily (Mark), Will, and Alan; and great-grandchild, Ellis. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, Elsie spent her life loving and caring for others. Everyone knew what happened at Granny's stayed at Granny's. The family would like to thank the staff of Lisenby Retirement Center Assisted Living Facility for their kindness and loving watch care over her the last few years as well as Elsie's dear friends there for their companionship. There will be a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, January 8, at 2:00 pm, conducted by Reverends Ron Brown and Bob Hayes.
