ELMER RICHARD GRAY
Elmer Richard Gray, 92, of Panama City, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011. He was born December 14, 1918. He attended the University of Florida and was an avid gator fan. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He worked as an insurance agent at Peninsular Life Insurance. After retiring from Peninsular Life, he worked as the day manager at Angelo's Steakhouse. He was a member of the Elks Club of Panama City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madalyn Gray, daughter JoAnn Gray and a son, Warren Gray. He is survived by his two daughters, Dolores Gray Riley (Jim), Theresa Poppell (Buddy) all of Atlanta, GA; son, John Gray (Julie), of Hernando, FL; step son, Kim Smith (Kathy), of Dothan, AL; fourteen grandchildren, Michaelle, Michael, Katie, John Jr., Richard, Elizabeth, Laura, Ashley, Samantha, Rickie, Robbie, Jamie, Beth, Pam; three great grandchildren, Lizzie, Sidney, Raleigh; and sweetheart, Jane Paschedag. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m.
