Elmer Fred France, 85, of Panama City, FL passed away on January 21, 2018. He was born on August 16, 1932 in Gate City, VA to Melvin and Roma France. He worked as a truck driver. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell France; seven brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mary Loyce "Lucy" France; two children, Darla Phillips (Steve), Harold France (Margie); four grandchildren, Kevin Phillips (Katie), Kimberly Winterman, Kylan Phillips, Joshua France; nine great grandchildren, Keaden, Tayley, Reese, Kohl, Braden, Kiersten, Robby, Madison, Hunter; three sisters, Doris, Eva, Alma; and numerous of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11am prior to the service.
