Elmer Cleatus Combs, 87, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away on Wednesday December 27, 2017. He was born on June 22, 1930 in Olive Branch, Arkansas. He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Seymour Electric and Ridge Heating and Air. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Elizabeth Combs; five children, Darrell Lynn Combs, Wanda Mercer, Karen Combs, Phyllis Rhodes, Terry Combs (Cissy); seven grandchildren; three sisters, Dean Sarringar, Jewel Henry, Nancy Pate (Roger);  good friend and hunting buddy, Willis Nelson; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 2pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Tuesday prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Dustin Mercer, Brent Nelson, Corey Nelson, Elmer Combs, James (Rat) Combs and Jordan Parks. Honorary pallbearer will be Willis Nelson.
