Ella Rose Porter Whittemore, 72 of Lynn Haven, Fla passed away on April 21, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Ella Rose was born December 18, 1943 in Panama City, Fla, to the late Ralph Porter Sr. and Nora Porter.
She is a graduate of Bay High School class of 1961. Ella Rose married her husband Derryl L. Whittemore, Sr., of 47 years while stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base. She retired from the Naval Coastal Systems Station in 2010 after 23 years of Civil Service.
Ella Rose was preceded in death by her husband Derryl L. Whittemore, Sr.; brother Ralph Porter, Jr.; and niece Georgette Porter. She is survived by her son, Derryl L. Whittemore, Jr.; daughter, Natalie Hall; son-in law, Robert Hall; granddaughter, Brittany Hall; grandson, Hunter Hall; sister-in-law, Marlene Porter; niece, Samantha Somervill (Cumbo); and her beloved dogs Daisy, Scamp, MeMe and Saki.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm, Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Luther Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
