Elizabeth 'Beth' Sheffield Wilson

1922-2009

Elizabeth 'Beth' Wilson of Panama City, FL, 87, entered the arms of her heavenly father on Monday, August 10th at Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Cedar Springs, GA and raised in Columbia, AL. She moved to Panama City with her parents in 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert L. Wilson, Jr., her parents Willie Pearl and Fred L.
Sheffield, and her brother, Leon Sheffield. She is survived by her daughters, Pam Miller (Alan), Suzanne Witham (Gary), four grandchildren, Chris Miller (Skye), Christy Self (Matt), Gary Paul Witham, Jr., and Melanie McLain (Landon). She has one great-grandchild, Kyler Miller. She was a charter member of the St. Andrews Church of Christ, later known as Beck Ave. Church of Christ. She is a current member of the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ. She was retired from HRS with the state of Florida. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Jenks Avenue Church of Christ with Jack Reece officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ Building Fund or to Covenant Hospice of Panama City, FL.
