Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth (Bobbie) McKay passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 24th. She was 101 years old! She was loved by her wide community of friends and her family. She was known for her kindness, loyalty, strength, and optimism. She was also sharp as a tack! She had strong opinions, was honestly blunt at times, and had an enduring deep faith which she readily shared with her friends and relatives. She was the communication link between all of the relatives and kept everyone apprised of family events.

Bobbie had been a member of St. Andrew Bay Yacht Club, the Panama City Country Club, Panama City Women's Club, and a member of the former Kidney Center where she was a very active member of the board of directors for seventeen years. She was also a long time member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwin and will be lovingly remembered by her niece Mary Lou Dwyer and nephew Paul Galisin of Annandale, NJ; niece Susan Archer and husband Michael of Anchorage, AK, and their children Kristy Archer and Katie Archer; niece Dawn Quinn and her husband Wade of Williamsburg, VA, and their children Christopher, David and Daniel Quinn; niece Dona Logdon and husband Rob Pruszynski of Asbury Park, NJ; niece Diane Heinmiller and husband David of Columbus, OH and their children Stephanie Hukle, and Matthew and Michael Heinmiller; and niece Kim Albright and husband Randy of Mechanicsburg, PA and their daughter Megan Moyer.

Bobbie was extremely blessed to have had many wonderful caring friends and caregivers, and the family would like to express special thanks to the following individuals who were very special to her: Sandy Yates, Gail Harris, Maggie Doyle, Helena Espinoza, Marcella Newsome, Melissa Miller, Fay Wilson, Sheila Jarrett, Leslis Davis, Angie Jefferson, Vic Einglett, Defino Ponce, Dr. Bruce Josten and his staff, and her bridge friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1608 Baker Ct., Panama City, Florida at 11:00 AM. Visitation with family will be held at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held following the service in the church hall followed by internment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being managed by Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
