ELIZABETH "LIBBY" LOVELACE GILPIN
Elizabeth "Libby" Inez Lovelace Gilpin, born April 1, 1936, a native of York, SC and resident of Panama City since 1969, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Libby was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her four children, Brenda Sanders and husband Alvin, Bill Grayson and wife Sandra, Sandra Barbaresi and husband James, all of Panama City, Richard Grayson and wife Robin, of Readyville, TN; seven grandchildren, Brandy Sanders, Michael Grayson, Sharon Hinton, Crystal Hammon, Michelle Hammon, Ryan Grayson, Kayla Grayson and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Louise Dover, Coleen Ritz, brother, Lonzo Lovelace, Jr. of Kings Mountain, NC and lifelong friend, Jack Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gilpin, father, Alonzo Lovelace, mother, Geneva Putnam Lovelace, sisters, Mozell Bullard, Mary Sue Quinn and grandson, Brian Sanders. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 5 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 – 5 p.m. Friday prior to the service. The family will be receiving friends at Libby's home following the service.
