ELIZABETH HUTCHISON LOCKE

Elizabeth (Libba) Hutchison Locke of Panama City passed away December 30, 2009 in her home. She was born February 23, 1924 in Panama City. She was the youngest of six children born to Judge Ira Augustus Hutchison, Sr. and Theodora Farris Hutchison. She was Salutatorian of the Bay High School Class of 1942 and had worked diligently on the planning committee for all her High School Reunions, and attended Gulf Coast Community College.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Locke Smith and husband, Bodsford, of Mt. Vernon, VA; and son, John K. Locke and wife, Lila, of Panama City; grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Locke San Juan and husband, Edward, of Lynn Haven; Douglas B. Smith, III of Tallahassee; Sarah Smith Golightly and husband, Scott, of Richmond, VA; John David Locke and wife, Elaine, of Lynn Haven; Tyler A. Smith and wife, Amy, of Woodbridge, VA; step-grandson, Kevin Schneider of Orlando; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Hutchison Pigman, of Panama City; 8 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 - 3 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home prior to the service. Pallbearers are Douglas B. Smith III, John David Locke, Tyler A. Smith, Edward San Juan, Eddie San Juan, and Kevin Schneider.
