Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Winstanley, 53, of Panama City, FL, awoke to eternal life on Sunday, May 28th 2017. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Pizza (Chris) of Mary Esther, FL; her mother Anne Gainer of Southport, FL; sister Alicia Sanders (Bunk) of Houston, TX; brothers Terry Smith (Holli) of Chipley, FL and Bryan Russell of Bradenton, FL; multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who all love her dearly.

Beth graduated from the nursing program of Gulf Coast State College in 1998, and continued to further her health care education throughout the years. Later specializing in Risk Management with a degree from the University of South Florida.

She was employed with Bay Medical Center for 17 years as a Charge Nurse, followed by 14 years with Panama City Surgery Center as a Supervisor and Risk Manager.

She assisted in the planning and opening of several facilities throughout Northwest Florida, all while maintaining excellent patient care in her daily life at Panama City Surgery Center.

Over the years she touched the lives of thousands of patients, caring for each one as if they were family. She constantly sought to educate others, even in her personal time, she made an effort to teach the student nurses around her. She became well known in the medical community of Bay County and her absence will be felt. Everyone who knew her, will remember her for her compassion, selflessness, sharp wit, and excellence in patient care.

She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends as well as her beloved dogs Buddy and Otis.

Beth loved to spend time around the water, and could be found lounging near a pool or beach. She had a passion for baking, music, and held a natural gift for creativity.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her daughter asks that you make a donation in Beth's name to the nursing program at Gulf Coast State College, so that her passion might live on in the future generations of nurses.
