ELENDER SCHLARB MONK
Elender Schlarb Monk, 78, of Lynn Haven, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. She was born March 12, 1933 in Chipley, Florida. She retired from Lynn Haven Elementary School after working many years in the Lunchroom. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Christopher Michael Lynn, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Rex Monk; son, Kenneth Schlarb and wife Nancy; three daughters, Carolyn Anderson, Barbara Moore, Rebecca Brannon and husband Randy; two step sons, Johnny Monk and wife Dianne, Ernie Monk and wife Rita; eight grandchildren, Stacy Capps, Stephanie Capps, Ron Capps, Heather Scurlock, Aimee Anderson, Angela Brannon, Sheree Gantt, Mary Michelle Lynn; ten great grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hard Labor Cemetery, Washington County, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mother's Memorial Fund, c/o First Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 2307, Panama City, FL 32402.
