Obituary

Eleanor Tobin Lewis (Nee McAulay) of Panama City, Florida and Boylston, Nova Scotia passed away 29 January 2010. She was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia on January 5, 1929 to the late George and Margaret (Tobin) McAulay. After boarding school, Business College and employment with the Canadian Government and the U S Air Force in Goose Bay, Labrador, Newfoundland, she met and married then Capt Clarence W. Lewis, Jr. She spent more than 30 years traveling the US and overseas as an Air Force wife and mother. Family and friends were the center of her life, and her roots were deep in the Guysbourgh County soil. Travel, conversation, and a nice glass of white wine were some of her favorite things. Those who enjoyed those things with her over the years will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clarence (Lew) Lewis, Colonel, USAF, RET, a daughter, Natalie Bley and husband, Paul of Falls Church, Virginia; two sons, James Lewis and wife, Chris of Columbus, Georgia, and John Lewis of Panama City and three granddaughters, Eleanor, Chelsea, and Carley. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne (1959) and a daughter, Lisa (2003). Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.
