Obituary

Eleanor Brogdon Savage, age 82 of Panama City died Sunday, February 9, 2020.

She was born on August 8, 1937 in Holopaw, Florida and moved to Panama City as a child. She attended Bay High School where she met her husband Grover and graduated in 1955. She and Grover shared 41 years together.

Eleanor worked for Southern Bell (AT&T) for 30 years and loved her time there. She said many times if she had a choice she would "still be sitting in that chair".

After her retirement from Southern Bell, Eleanor obtained her nursing degree and worked in both local hospitals. The last 20 years of her nursing career were spent in the office of Dr. James Papas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, F. E. Brogdon and Eva Brogdon and her husband Grover Savage. She was also preceded by her brothers F. E. "Chub" Brogdon Jr. and Edwin "Toby" Brogdon and sister Edith Brogdon Moeller.

She is survived by her special nieces Brenda Adams of Pensacola and Heather Savage-Renfroe of Gulf Breeze, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her "adopted children" Michael and Linna Falzone of Panama City.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Father Luke Farabaugh officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are her "boys from Ma Bell".
