Edward "Ed" Louis Wilson Jr. born December 18, 1944 to Edward Louis Wilson Sr. and Janet Atkins Wilson in Chicago, Illinois. After a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer's, Ed passed away on July 12, 2023 surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Wilson (wife Carole Hogberg), sister Catharine Buktenica, brother-in-law Donald Buktenica and nephew Joseph Buktenica.

Ed was a kindhearted family man with a quick wit and love of service for others. Ed served his country in the Navy during Vietnam and was a lifelong public servant to the State of Florida as a Healthcare Administrator. Ed was a devoted Boy Scout leader for the Tallahassee area and helped countless scouts achieve their goals. He helped create local troops and volunteered to train the next generation of scouting leaders. Ed was also a very active member of his church, St Louis Catholic, and served as an usher for many years. Ed also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and trips closer to home with his children and grandchildren.

Ed leaves behind his devoted wife of 53-year Suzanne Patricia Wilson (Marleski), his children Brandon Wilson (wife Kellie O'Dare and grandson Hayden Fryar), daughter Jessica Wilson, (granddaughters Marina Allard, and Macey Allard), brother Robert Wilson (wife Patricia Polakowski), nieces Donna Guernsey (husband Neal), Stephanie Buktenica, and nephews Steven Buktenica, Jeremy Wilson (wife Kari and children Tucker and Annika), Christopher Wilson (wife Mackenzie).

Ed's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2 at St Louis Catholic Church at 11:00 am (3640 Fred George Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303) and he will be laid to rest at the Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311) on Thursday, August 3 at 10 am.
