"Butch" Stedman

Edward Darrol "Butch" Stedman of Panama City, died Sunday afternoon at his home. He was born on August 11, 1948 in Hammond, Indiana to Darrol Louis Stedman and June Fuller Stedman. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Stafford Stedman, whom he married October 9, 1976; one daughter, Michelle Baechler, her husband Jeff Baechler. His grandchildren are Christopher, Riley and Devon. One sister, Judith Stedman Calvert of Terre Haute, Indiana; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynne and James "Buddy" Stafford and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Stedman. Butch graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1966. He retired from the Air Force as a MSGT in Civil Engineering. His favorite sport to watch and go to was the Daytona 500 with his group of special friends. His favorite hangout was The Bungalow, a local bar. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Care or to the Humane Society of Bay County. The last note he left was, "only two defining beings have died for you. One was Jesus and the other a soldier. One for your soul, the other for your freedom." As instructed by Butch there will be no visitation or services and Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation.
