EDNA ERLE YOUNG
Edna Erle Young, 86, of Panama City, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009 in a local hospital. She was born February 25, 1923 in Ino, Alabama. She was a retired administrative assistant for the State of Alabama. She was a member of Emerald Coast Fellowship Church and the Senior Friends Sunday School Class. She loved her flowers, gardening and decorating. She was a friend to all and is no doubt working in the Lord's garden now. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Abner "Pete" Young and 2 sisters, Johnnie Merle Morrison and Clarice Faye Baughman. She is survived by a daughter, Merrilyn Skakal and husband, Dave; 3 grandchildren, Carrie Poplin and husband, Micah; Devin Baker, Jesse Skakal; 3 great grandchildren, Celeste Baker, Issac Poplin, Samuel David Poplin; brother, James Wise and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Emerald Coast Fellowship Church with Dr. Bill Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9-10 a.m. Monday prior to the service. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Ino Baptist Church Cemetery, Ino, Alabama.
