EDNA BASSETT BRANNING WILLIAMS

Edna Bassett Branning Williams, 85, of Panama City, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at her home, with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Bay County. Mrs. Williams worked for 38 years for the Bay County school system teaching hundreds of children to read. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City, Florida. She loved to travel, shop and play cards. She had a giving spirit and loved helping others. She is survived by one daughter, Kennett Branning Pilgrim and her husband Drew, one granddaughter, Tiffany Fair Mowbray, and a very special friend, John Atzberger. She is also survived by her two sisters, Bernese Monas and her husband Andy, and Betty Haney and her husband Joe. Edna was devoted to family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Grace Fellowship Church with Tammy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to A Woman's Addiction Recovery Effort (AWARE), 3407 North East Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405, in memory of Edna Bassett Branning Williams.
