EDITH REBECCA REVELS PEEL

Edith Rebecca Revels Peel, 78, of Panama City, died May 8, 2009 in her home. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1959, moving here from Geneva, Alabama. She worked as an administrator/supervisor for the Bay County Tax Collector's office for 40 years. She was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Peel Jr. and grandson, Uriah Shepherd. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Shepherd and husband Roger of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Sidney Peel, Mark Peel and wife Theresa, Daphne Graham and husband Joe, all of Panama City; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Sue Cassidy of Dunnellon, Florida; and brother, Samuel "Bo" Revels of Samson, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church of Panama City with Pastor Hilton Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19th Street, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Edith Peel.
