EDITH A. CHURCH
Edith A. Church, 76, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Edith was born on February 28, 1936 in Kassel, Germany. She then married and came to America in 1959. Edith became a legal U.S. Citizen in 1985. During her career, she managed to maintain some 30 + years in the fields of Factory and Hotel work. Edith's hobbies included: bowling, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Hazen E. Church, of Panama City; children, Michael Kaufman, Ralph Kaufman, of Panama City; two brothers, Horst Weymann, Wilfried Weymann, of Kassel, Germany; step daughters, Cindy, Julia, Kimberlee; step son, Frederick, all of California; numerous grandchildren, Andrew, Steven, Gabrielle, Aaron, Nickoli, Aurora, Ryan, Justin, Nickolas, Christopher, Bryana, Jacob, Christine, William; and her extended family in Maine, Joanne Shaw, Linda Suga, Sharon Vajner, Lewis Church and Michael Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. She will be buried in Augusta, Maine at a later date.
