EDGAR DWAN "ED" RAMSEY, SR.
Edgar Dwan "Ed" Ramsey, Sr., 85, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born May 23, 1927 in Pensacola, Florida. He worked in management for Peninsular Life Insurance Company, was a member of the Leader's Club and won the President's Award many times. Ed was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and he was a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Flora Ramsey; three children, Priscilla Underwood (Mike), of Gray, GA, Dwan Ramsey, Jr (Shirley), of Panama City, Lowell Ramsey (Patty) of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Tami Leavins, Michelle Leavins, Ashley Ramsey; two very special great grandsons, Dewey Ramsey, Christopher Vinson; great grandchild, Mason Leavins; and three great great grandchildren, Jayson Ramsey, Connor Vinson and Dillon Vinson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Friedman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 – 3 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL in memory of Ed Ramsey.
